When I hopped on the phone with Christine to discuss her Savin Hill Dorchester Newborn Photographer session, she told me something that I have heard over and over. She wasn’t planning on hiring a professional photographer, but now her baby was 7 weeks old and she realized she only had (not so great) iPhone photos of her! Not only that, but MOM wasn’t in most of them! She really wanted to document this time while her baby is tiny, and ALSO be in the pictures!
Its February, which means I’m busy with Winter maternity photos in Boston. This time of year, most of my pregnant clients choose studio maternity photo sessions over outdoor shoots. Obviously, living in Boston, the weather is a major factor for choosing a location for your photos during the winter. While I love snowy family photos when kiddos are a little older and everyone can bundle up and play, maternity sessions are different. Buying newborn photography outfits might be one of the most fun parts of my job. The wardrobe she offered up for postpartum moms for the photoshoot. I loved that she provided a link in advance so when I showed up to her studio I already knew what I wanted to try on. I opted to wear my own dress that I brought because my skin tone looks better in bright whites.
The ease! All I had to do was show up and the studio was stocked with food, baby changing table, cozy couch – it’s like showing up to a friends home!
Efficient – Whitney was amazing with my baby and she was able to calm her down and position the baby for beautiful pictures! The time flew and we opted for the larger package because the photos came out fantastic we couldn’t choose!
