My number one, most important piece of advice: you know your baby and your body better than anyone. Do whatever is right for you. If that means not breastfeeding, that is ok! Lots of people will try to throw their opinions at you, but trust your gut and do what works best for you and your baby.
I think everyone wants to know how to take better family photos. Hiring a professional photographer to document a new baby in their first few days of life is an investment that is well worth the time and money. You’ll have professional quality images and prints to cherish for the rest of your life, freezing that moment in time when they are brand new and fresh, their tiny toes and fingers, their perfect skin and baby hair, and their incredible tininess in your hands.
Becoming a Mom is so wonderful yet completely overwhelming at the same time. Working with babies for years made me think that it would be so easy! I was so much more worried about birth than what would happen afterwards, and didn’t really understand how much having a baby would rock our world. Here are some tips on what helped me during this time, and what I wish I knew before becoming a mom.
After two kids, I feel pretty confident in recommending our favorite products to hopefully help you with your baby registry. Luckily for me, I work with new parents and got tons of great advice and suggestions from my clients during my pregnancy, and I’m happy to pass it on to you 🙂

Anyone else feel like September is the longest month? Last vacations and starting school and shorts with sweatshirts and so many dahlias and open houses and school meetings and chilly mornings and apple picking field trips and one last bbq and earlier bedtimes and earlier wake ups and soccer Saturdays and birthday parties and a dozen outdoor sessions. And somehow October is next week! I’ll just look at these pretty pictures of a baby to calm myself out of an early fall panic attack 😂

In reality? It often involves snacks, bribes, strong opinions, and at least one child who absolutely refuses pants.
And that’s… totally fine. 😅
The goal of sibling newborn photos isn’t perfect behavior or everyone smiling at the camera at the same time. It’s capturing real moments — curiosity, chaos, cuddles, and the very beginning of a lifelong relationship.
We keep things low-pressure:
• We start with sibling photos while attention spans still exist
• We don’t force hugs (ever)
• We take breaks (lots of them)
• We fully expect some wiggles, wandering, and craziness
Some of the best photos happen between the planned moments — when a toddler leans in unexpectedly, declares the baby “too loud,” or gives a quick kiss and runs away.
Your kids don’t need to cooperate. They just need to show up as themselves.
And honestly? That’s where the good stuff is.
