The best part of being a Boston newborn photographer is getting to snuggle my client's new babies (and then hand them back haha). I can't wait to create beautiful artwork with you and your family.
Newborn sessions are done in my custom-designed studio in Dedham, MA. In the studio, you will have access to multiple gorgeous neutral set ups, props, and ideal natural lighting. I am here to help you with styling--I have loads of dresses and baby outfits to choose from in my client closet, and a guide for what to wear .
My Boston newborn photographer sessions are family-centered, and include parent, sibling, and family poses, and shots of baby alone. While I have a workflow in mind, the session is “baby led.” This means I keep your baby as comfortable as possible and take cues from them. Every baby is different, and every session is a little different. Mostly, you’ll just be snuggling your little one with simple, comfortable, and flattering poses.
With 10+ years of experience as a Boston newborn photographer, here are all my tips on how to prepare for your newborn session to make it a success!
I'm honored to have been recognized as Boston's Favorite Family Photographer in the Joey Awards, by Community Kangaroo!
The best time to book your newborn session is during your second trimester, but its never too late to get on my calendar. I love working with older babies--we get lots of cute faces and smiles!
Boston baby photographer sessions are scheduled on weekday mornings, and last 1-2 hours. Ideally, newborns are 2-3 weeks old, but I love working with babies of all ages.

First frost means lots of bouquets in the house 😂
Currently living at the Arboretum 🥰🥰🥰
Anyone else feel like September is the longest month? Last vacations and starting school and shorts with sweatshirts and so many dahlias and open houses and school meetings and chilly mornings and apple picking field trips and one last bbq and earlier bedtimes and earlier wake ups and soccer Saturdays and birthday parties and a dozen outdoor sessions. And somehow October is next week! I’ll just look at these pretty pictures of a baby to calm myself out of an early fall panic attack 😂
Excited to meet this baby today for a newborn photo session in my studio, just outside of Boston!

4 years ago today it was so nice out that we went to the hospital to deliver this perfect baby without our coats ☀️ Happy 4 Rory ❤️🥰❤️
Wow this just took me way too long to create 🫣🫣🤣😅
Including siblings in newborn photos sounds sweet in theory.

In reality? It often involves snacks, bribes, strong opinions, and at least one child who absolutely refuses pants.
And that’s… totally fine. 😅
The goal of sibling newborn photos isn’t perfect behavior or everyone smiling at the camera at the same time. It’s capturing real moments — curiosity, chaos, cuddles, and the very beginning of a lifelong relationship.
We keep things low-pressure:
• We start with sibling photos while attention spans still exist
• We don’t force hugs (ever)
• We take breaks (lots of them)
• We fully expect some wiggles, wandering, and craziness
Some of the best photos happen between the planned moments — when a toddler leans in unexpectedly, declares the baby “too loud,” or gives a quick kiss and runs away.
Your kids don’t need to cooperate. They just need to show up as themselves.
And honestly? That’s where the good stuff is.
