You might be wondering what a full studio maternity photo session looks like. I usually post 10 or so photographs in a blog post or on social media, but you might be surprised to know that this gallery had 80 images in it! This is very common.
During each client’s session, I take hundreds (usually over 1,000) photos. After the session I go through and cull down the images to 60+ for their proofing gallery. After they see their images, they can choose which package they’d like, based on how many images they want.
Often I have a hard time narrowing them down to just 60. Each variation is a little different and I love them in different ways. Especially when there are children involved, they make so many cute little faces, its hard not to give every single one of them!
I recently photographed this gorgeous couple in my studio for their maternity photography session. We had a great time during their session, and I loved all the dresses mom chose from my client closet. I’m so psyched to meeting their baby for their newborn photo session in a month or two.
I think its helpful to see all of the images from a session to have an idea of what to expect. As you’ll see, aside from just having an indoor space with gorgeous light during the Wintertime in Boston, one big benefit of working in the studio is that you have access to my client closet and are able to change into multiple outfits (comfortably in my bathroom) to allow you to get lots of variety in your photoshoot.
Here is every image I delivered to this client from their full studio maternity photo session, I hope you like them as much as I do!
